Thien Ha Kameda Celebrates 10 years of Establishment

On September 16^th, 2023, in Sen Ho restaurant near head quarter in Hung Yen province, Thien Ha Kameda (THK) organized an anniversary to celebrate 10 years of establishment. Dr. Lekh Raj Juneja - CEO of Kameda Seika, Mr. Sato Isamu - Former President & COO of Kameda Seika, Mr. Hasegawa Mitsunobu - Chairman of THK, Mr. Oshio Koichi - Former Deputy director of THK, Mr. Fukai Hiroshi – General Director of THK, leaders of the partner companies, together with representatives from related stakeholders, governmental organizations and nearly 300 staffs of THK attended the event.

This event was a great occasion for former and current members of THK, both Japanese and Vietnamese, to gather in warm atmosphere, review the 10-year-journey of the company’s establishment and development, celebrate this important milestone and share the company’s vision and future direction for further growth. During the event, 31 staffs who has 10 years of contribution to THK were honored. It is even more meaningful when this year 2023, Vietnam and Japan also commemorate 50 years of diplomatic relationship.

All THK members are joining hands to contribute to a greater growth of the company in the future.

THK was established in 2013 by a joint venture between Thien Ha Corporation and Kameda Seika (No.1 rice cracker manufacturer in Japan). Thien Ha Corporation (THC) - the owner of ONEONE brand, which is a well-known rice cracker brand in Vietnam, started its rice cracker manufacturing business in Vietnam in 2007. Meanwhile, Kameda Seika has a track record of participating in a rice cracker manufacturing joint venture in Vietnam (Hai Ha – Kameda joint-venture) from 1996 to 1999 (it was a joint venture between 4 companies: Kameda Seika, Hai Ha Confectionery, Kotobuki and Mitsubishi), and the people involved at that time were participating in the management of THC, so they had approached Kameda Seika. Based on discussions between the two parties, a new joint venture company - Thien Ha Kameda was established to manufacture premium rice crackers. Kameda Seika will be responsible for developing new rice crackers and bringing manufacturing technology to the Joint Venture, while THC will handle sales process.

THK built its first factory in Hung Yen province in 2013. Then, in order to increase manufacturing capacity, THK set up 2^nd  factory in Thua Thien Hue province in 2015, and the 3^rd one in Dong Thap province in 2016. Our flagship product is ICHI Honey Shouyu flavor, which has become the top-of-mind when Vietnamese people think about rice cracker after 10 years in this market. Our product has been also exported to 6 countries including the most difficult markets, such as: America, Japan, Korea, … THK has got reliable certificates in quality control and food safety management, such as: FSSC 22000, HACCP & GMP, ISO 22000 … We aim to provide our customers the best quality products, create joyful moments with ICHI rice crackers.
